Congratulations Mr Juncker!

July 15, 2014 - Today, European leaders have selected former Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean Claude Juncker as the next EU Commission President. Mr Juncker's nomination had been opposed by British Prime Minister David Cameron but he was very much in the minority.

Mr Cameron forced the matter to a vote but Mr Juncker won out by 26 votes to two, with Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban the only other leader to oppose his candidacy. Mr Juncker now goes forward to be ratified by the European Parliament in July.

CONGRATULATIONS!

On 2nd of July, 2014, the entire team that created the book 'The Invisible Rape of Europe' had sent a letter to Mr and Mme Juncker to congratulate them from the bottom of their hearts for becoming the next president of the European Commission.

For the reasons enumerated in the Preamble to the Book, we remain fully convinced that a truly European candidate was finally appointed to lead the Commission, and we hope that Mr Juncker will be THE Man who will lead the EU into a new tomorrow with a changed awareness and more compassionate attitudes towards non-human animals, in recognition of the ever increasing demands and concerns of the European citizens.
